Bachelorette Party

I broke another wedding tradition by planning my own bacherlorette party. Instead of painting the town red one evening, I had a tai-tai dessert party at home on a Sunday afternoon. I got to choose my guests, the dessert menu and what I wanted to do.

Showing off the jewellery we made and to be worn at the wedding...

Special thanks to Ivy who put in so much effort so that we could have the jewellery-making session, and to my church gal friends for obliging me! haha!

Dinner Favours

Since we started making plans to have a Chinese wedding dinner at a hotel, I had quite made up my mind about having cake or chocolate for favours. I thought they were a lot more practical cos you could eat if you're hungry while waiting for the dinner to start.

BUT, today when I went to see the favours offered by the hotel, I changed my mind and decided to have non-edible favours instead, cos I liked the favours very much!

I hope the guests like them too! ;p

2 families

Our 1st combined families photo taken at Edmund's installation today.

Edmund said it was a foretaste of what it would be like for him at the wedding. People were congratulating him, giving him gifts, wanting to take photos with him.

A VERY mini foretaste in terms of number of guest and program for the day.

Frills

We've distributed 98% of the invites. If you haven't gotten yours, please let me know. It probably got lost in the mail or forgotten by a "card-passer".

I kept the cards really simple and no-frills. The only frills about my invite was the stickers beautifully designed by Jasmne and generously sponsored by Wei Chuen which I love love love! He even delivered it to my door-step with Limiin!

I've been so blessed by friends. Wei Chuen & Limiin, thanks for the stickers. It transformed the plain envelope to a wedding one! haha!

Journeying together

Andy and Edmund are buddies at work. They are so different they are funny together!

We had the privilege of attending pre-marital classes with Andy and Yu Min. It was a real pity that we were not able to attend their wedding in June, but we got to visit them at their cosy love nest to see their wedding/honeymoon photos/videos tonight.

Andy is an amazing cook! I enjoyed the food, moscato wine and the company tremendously!

if only

they were older... I'd love for them to be my page boy and flower girl. They are so cute lah!

We stopped eating and the mummies pulled out their cameras when we saw them like that.

DOHP 2009

I was soooo super tempted to say 'yes' to Jennifer to be involved again this year. Even Edmund was supportive, but in the end I knew I couldn't handle the several Sunday nights of rehearsals with wedding prep. I also didn't have enough leave left to take with the wedding and honeymoon coming up.

Next best option: being an usher with Jasmine at the balcony and coming down at the end to take photos with some of them in the choir!

Losing count

I've been spending quite a few late nights writing the invites. Edmund settled his own, Mum helped me with the Chinese & Dialect church people.

This stack is not even 50% of the invites to be given out.

Not funny.
