Berlin

Berlin was too HOT. I wonder if I’d have enjoyed the place more if not for the heat.

A small remaining part of the Berlin wall.

Edmund returned to Singapore earlier while we continued on to Dresden, Zurich, Bern, Milan and London.

At the Berlin main train station. Edmund headed off to Frankfurt to catch his flight back to Singapore, while the rest of us took the train to Dresden.

At Lynn's graduation

The fastest graduation ceremony I’ve been at. All graduation ceremonies should be this fast!

Sisters! See any resemblance?

A day in London together

The main purpose of the trip was to attend Lynn's graduation. Edmund and I left Singapore on 12 Jul while Ernie was in Germany, and Dad, Mum and Lynn left much earlier to travel around UK.

We arrived in London at 6am on 13 Jul. We’d both been to London eons ago, but Edmund remembered the underground system very well!

We took the underground to King’s Cross, deposited our luggage at St Pancras, collected our East Midland train tickets to Nottingham, and then headed to see some sights.

1st stop: Tower of London
Highlights: the crown jewels and the lifting of the Tower Bridge

It was a cloudy and wet day, but it was nice because it reminded us of our honeymoon – exploring a foreign land together.

It was a coincidence that Dom (my wedding photographer) was also in London, so we met up for lunch at Leicester Square for duck at Four Seasons Restaurant.

From there, Dom brought us to his favourite coffee place, Monmouth Coffee, before he took the train with us back to St Pancras so that we could catch the train to Nottingham.

Dad, Mum & Lynn came to pick us from the Nottingham train station where we had really yummy Thai food for dinner and got to do some supermarket shopping. I love the supermarkets in angmoh-lands!

I was so glad to have so much Asian food right from the start of the trip!
